Ferrets and Chinchillas

Your ferret and chinchilla should be examined yearly by a vet. A stool sample for parasite check should be submitted then. Vaccines are available for ferrets and can be discussed with you.

Common problems associated with ferrets include gastrointestinal disease, parasites and cancer. Ferrets are inquisitive creatures and frequently ingest objects they shouldn’t. Any loss of appetite or abnormal behavior should alert you to a potential health issue.

Gerbills, Guinea Pigs & Hamsters

These furry friends require veterinary attention too. Check with the vet if your pet stops eating, appears quiet, exhibits discharge from eyes/nose or develops a lump. Teeth grow continuously int hese pets and often require appropriate nutrition and attention.

Rabbits

Rabbits are susceptible to a variety of conditions including hairballs, overgrown teeth, parasites and cancer. Rabbits should be examined yearly. Vaccines, wellness blood testing, parasite checks and neutering may be recommended.
